Lately I've been on the craziest Fiber Kick ever! Not sure what has obsessed me to want to cleanse my system out; perhaps it's related to my exercise program and something called New Years resolutions. I read that we require 25-30 grams of fiber each day! Whoa, now that's a Sh*t load of fiber (no pun intended)! I even found a
fiber calculator that tells you how much fiber a person needs to consume based on your height, age and weight. I wish there was a calculator that stated how many cupcakes I need to eat, before I pass out (I love my cupcakes, but I’ll use that as another posting one day). Recently, I sadly switched from white rice to brown rice, which is driving me crazy considering I'm Asian and steamed white rice is a staple! So in honor of the switch, I made a card that says
“I love brown rice” (I have to admit I don’t love it, but you know if you repeat something enough, you start to believe it).

only less filling"

Thanks for the comment on my blog! :)
ReplyDeleteI DO love brown rice, especially when it's in combination with wild rice. I love the texture and the nutty flavor.
I must say though, I do love white rice too, especially when it's sticky, but if given the choice, I will always choose brown as it's just the healthier option.
25 grams is a lot but it's what we are supposed to be eating. Luckily I like brown rice and all that good stuff:) I am always trying to fit more fibre in. We buy the Fibre 1 granola bars as a snack. They have 5 grams which is pretty good.

I love your pun! That is a lot of fiber!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you crack me up! I'm so glad you posted a comment on my Etsy Treasury so I could find your blog! You're awesome... :)
ReplyDeleteThis was such a funny read!! I don't envy you with the brown rice although I eat whole wheat pasta so I'm doing something good :)
ReplyDeleteAlmay, I love your sense of humor. I enjoy your blog and am a follower now:)
ReplyDeleteYou have more rice "balls" then I do... switching to brown rice that is! I've decided to use Benefiber. Cause the quote you used says it all! :)
ReplyDeleteYou can also eat CAMOTE instead of the brown rice. My wife has given up on white rice for over a year now! Instead we have a lot of Camotes (brown, yellow, blue) in the house.
